SEPTEMBER 20TH MEETING
Teachers: Please clarify the following information to students.
All forms must be submitted. which means 4 sheets should be handed in, 5 if wallclimbing
Choose between Golf, Wall Climbing and snowboarding- hand in only one of those.
NOTE: Wall climbing requires two forms! (consent & wwaiver)
Choose between Wellness and Boxing
Everyone submit the Curling and Bowling. forms.
Grading
65% of entire grade is from Blocks in the gym & outside activities (Golf, Wallclimbing, or snowboard and Wellness or Boxing, Curling and Bowling)
15% is from volunteer
i. Teachers-please make a list of attendance groups volunteer activities. If someone does not have a volunteer activity, please make sure you sign them up for one.
NOTE: Junior highs need volleyball refs and basketball refs. We can get the clinics here during gym time. There is a fee, but if they ref 2-3 games it is paid for!
ii. Please let students know that if they do not fill out a volunteer form and hand in, the maximum mark they can achieve, if they get 100% in class activities is 85%!!!
20% is from their log book/individual activity
i. Teachers- please make a list of their activity: approval required.
ii. Go over example of log book.
NOTE: Their fitness testing sheets should be included with a reflection explaining why they are doing the activity they choose.
Students may need help program planning. Please use this time to review fitness components and examples of how they can improve. Students may not know what area of fitness their sport/activity will work on. Please go over this with them.
